Google Earth joins with BBC's Planet Earth

Do you like Google Earth? What about David Attenborough? Well now you can have the best of both worlds, Google Earth was released in 2001 and it was originally a 2D affair, however 16 years on it now has it's new standalone website and app with staggering 3D and video.
The latest and it's most impressive feature is it's collaboration with BBC's Planet Earth and Sir David Attenborough.

From swimming sloths in Escudo de Veraguas, Panama – an incredible an oddly relaxing video - to red kangaroos in the Australian outback, Google Earth's collaboration means that not only can you access videos of animals in their natural habitat, but you can do so with accompanying narration from Sir David Attenborough.
You can additionally explore endangered species around the world, with fact files including their vulnerability status, information about the animal and the various threats they face.
A huge amount of detail has been added and the whole thing is stunning. You can easily move about famous landmark s, Towns, Cities, Forests, mountain tops and delve under the ocean.
